Fostering Pre-Service Physics Teachers’ Pedagogical Content Knowledge Regarding Digital Media

Since the use of digital media opens new possibilities in physics education, pre-service teachers should develop pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) regarding during teacher education. In joint project DiKoLeP (German for: competencies physics) RWTH Aachen University, University Graz and Tübingen, we therefore developed implemented a university teaching concept with certain core elements to foster this digital-media PCK teachers. The was as seminar at three universities, considering common well individual curricular requirements. We evaluated pre-post-design recently test measure PCK. Our findings indicated that is suitable validly Furthermore, first results empirical evaluation participating universities showed significant increase students’ small-to-medium effect for students who attended theoretical practical sessions seminar.
